Today marks one week with the new four-legged family member...
It has been a long week, where one day I leave early the next I am shoving dog but into her crate when she doesn't want to go into... fun. At least the previous mutts would go in when you bribe them with cookies. This one - not so much.
This morning she decided since I was still in bed, she wanted to join me. We are still working this. but we are at a weekend so a bit easier. Next week should be fun... but this is new for her in a series of new things - so time. Patience and not plotting your husband's murder well that is a daily occurrence.
I was ticked yesterday I couldn't really put my finger on it - most likely is I walked in the door - he got home first and he starts, mostly dog updates, but as soon as I move to the second floor - per usual - he needs to talk to me about 401K's and how he's been asking for months for me to handle things... yeah I forgot all about it.
so I will call today give his royal butthead what he needs and deal with the rest - and now digging out my paperwork it appears that I will have to do this Monday or Saturday if possible.
I think it's just - as I said when we went to look at this dog, my work load increases when a new member of the family is introduced. And this is no exception. I guess when I changed, did a load of laundry, then went downstairs and dealt with a messy kitchen and started to get dinner ready while he sat there looking at me -- I was feeling cranky.
I don't know why - nothing changed, I didn't have dog duty - I will tonight. Along with everything else...
*sigh*
All right-y I think I am going to try and be productive this afternoon, then see where life takes us this weekend. Dinner with my husband's family... oh joy. Of course I could stir the pot, we get two to three versions of every story and I could ask questions... but I won't. Why? Because it will all come raining down on me - I know this for a fact.
So I will smile, chat, piss off my husband in some manner because he is OH so patient and tolerant when dealing with his own family. And I will have at least one glass of wine with dinner. Two if he's really a flaming butthead!!!
They all can't be stuck in traffic hell of my own making stories now can they??
